At this online forum, Network members and other early career researchers (ECRs) will discuss challenges in their career trajectory and the merits of EuroQol opportunities. After a brief overview by Elly Stolk (Erasmus University), various members will introduce topics, such as (1) Funding opportunities; (2) LinkedIn and Whatsapp Groups; (3) Leadership roles and activities; and (4) Ideas for future events. Moreover, we welcome candid feedback with regard to the Network’s initial year. This is the first time that we have hosted such an open forum, and we hope to see and hear from each of you.

Renee Jones (University of Melbourne) seeks to qualitatively understand clinician, parent and child perspectives on using the EQ-5D-Y in routine clinical care for children and to co-design how the EQ-5D-Y could be used and implemented in outpatient clinics. Cheuk Wai Ng (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) will present on his application of analytical hierarchy process in testing EQ-5D bolt-on dimensions. After their brief presentations, they will answer questions from Janine Verstraete (Univeristy of Cape Town) and Fanni Rencz (Corvinus University of Budapest) as well as attendees.

Titi Sahidah Fitriana (Erasmus University) will present her studies bringing EQ-5D-Y as a ready to used instrument in Indonesia. This Core Knowledge Panel (90 min) starts with an introduction to the EuroQol Office by Bernhard Slaap (Executive Director, EuroQol Research Foundation, Rotterdam, the Netherlands). After this overview, James W. Shaw (Executive Director and Head, Patient-Reported Outcomes Assessment, WWHEOR at Bristol Myers Squibb) and Caitlyn T. Solem (Director, Pipeline Strategy, US Oncology Value Evidence and Outcomes, GSK) will describe interactions with the Office from a client’s perspective and the merits of the EuroQol family of instruments in clinical trials. Many Network members may move into commercial roles and similarly rely on the Office to help them incorporate EuroQol instruments into their projects. Discussants from the EQ PhD Network include Ling Jie Cheng (National University of Singapore), Renee Jones (University of Melbourne), and Jiajun Yan (McMaster University) . Haode Wang (University of Sheffield, Sheffield, United Kingdom) will present on DCE valuation of the EQ-HWB descriptive system in UK and Australia. DiSantostefano (Janssen) Ruixuan Jiang (Merck), Milad Karimi (BioMarin), and Lucila Rey Ares (Pfizer). Each will introduce themselves, describe their transition, and suggest training (beyond graduate school) as well as answer your questions. Based on this panel, we intend to arrange similar ones with leaders in consultancy, government, and academia.
